  1. Start with the lows and put in an 800mm or (if you have the skills) 1600mm battleship-sized armor plate. Add armor resistances, and a medium armor repairer. Continue to medium slots and put in drone-augmenting modules and/or capacitor rechargers. And finally, in the high slots, if you have any power grid left, put in some frigate-sized 125 mm.
  2. Every piece of equipment fits into one of these, so how many a ship has is important. If you have the CPU and Power Grid to use something, you might not have enough slots to use alot of them. Every module fits into a high, medium, or lower power slot. Here is a general summary of what kind of equipment goes into each slot.

In the next 2 tables are modules which increase powergrid. All of them go into low-slots which is good because they don't comprise the buffer tank in the mid-slots. Nevertheless, you shouldn't use more than 1-2 of these, because they take away slots which should be used for dps or tracking modules.

is there anything that will increase the power grid in a medium slot? and if you are almost useing all your power does that make cap boosters work less efficentlty?
cause when im warping my capacitor recharges very fast, when im just cruising it goes up alot slower.

If you mean 'are there any mid slot modules that'll give me extra Power Grid', no. Power Grid modules are low slots, like Power Diag Systems, Reactor Control Units or Micro Aux Power Cores.
Engineering skill of course gives more Power Grid, 5% per level. Advanced Weapon Upgrades skill reduces the Power Grid costs for weapons as well.
Edit: No, Power Grid has no effect other than the ability to fit items to your ship. Having a 'full' power grid won't make modules perform any differently.

What you're seeing there is the effects of how recharge works. Capacitor power and Shields recharge fastest at around 30% total. Which is why going from nearly empty to mostly full is faster than from mostly full to totally full.
